Summary/Notes: Viggo is in an accident and Sean drops everything to take care of him. "That man is obviously head over heels for you. I have lots of very close friends, Mr. Mortensen. Friends I have had since childhood and they wouldn't put their life on hold just to take care of me for an entire month or more. Just an observation."

Sean was sitting on the couch in his living room reading over a script his agent had sent him when the phone rang.

"Hallo."

"Sean? It's Henry." A shaky voice said on the other end.

"Henry? What…" Before Sean could finish the boy interrupted him.

"Sean it, its Dad…uh…it's not too bad, well, I mean not according to the doctors but…" Henry began rambling.

Sean quickly became concerned and sat up straighter. "What is it, Henry? What doctor? What's wrong with Viggo?" Sean asked preparing himself for the worst.

"He's been in an accident. He's going to be fine they say, but still…Sean you were the first person Dad asked for. The doctors say he will be alright…but it's still bad." Henry said rambling so fast Sean couldn't catch all of it and the boy was even repeating himself at times.

"Ok. Henry go back to the beginning, lad. Take a deep breath, slow down, calm down, and tell me everything before my bloody heart jumps out of my chest, ok?" Sean asked sitting back and taking a deep breath himself trying to calm his breathing.

"Dad was supposed to come pick me up at a friend's house. He was stopped at a stop sign and a drunk driver rammed into him, actually shoved his car into the car next to his. They just brought him back from surgery." Henry explained.

"Surgery?" Sean asked barely able to form the word.

"His leg was broken in two places and they had to do surgery on it. He's ok, asleep now, but he asked for you, a couple times before he went into surgery." Henry explained.

"I'll be on the next flight to L.A., Henry. Tell you're Mom for me." Sean said quickly already walking over to his address book on his desk to get his travel agent's number.

After he hung up with Henry he called his travel agent.

When Sean arrived at the hospital the next morning he hadn't even changed clothes just went straight from the airport. Henry saw him when he walked onto the floor to ask where Viggo's room was.

"Sean!" Henry called running toward him and throwing his arms around him. Christ the boy had grown!

"Henry! You're so tall!" Sean said giving the boy a big hug.

"Yeah, growth spurt. Dad's awake…giving the nurses hell too." Henry explained with a grin.

"I bet he is." Sean said laughing. "So he's doing alright, really?"

"Yeah… He's doing much better than last night. Pretty banged up, a little out of it from the drugs and been ranting about drunk drivers for a few hours now.." Henry said shaking his head.

Sean laughed. That was a very good sign.

Sean took a deep breath and headed for the room. He opened the door and stepped inside. Viggo was hooked up to a blood pressure monitor and an IV. His leg was in a cast, and his arm was in a sling and he looked like someone had beaten the hell out of him. He looked so small in the bed that it made Sean's heart twist in his chest. This could have been so much worse. He kept thinking.

"Two black eyes as well?" Sean asked crossing the room.

"Air bag…Sean? Oh God when did you get here?" Viggo asked excitedly.

"Just now." Sean answered.

"But how…when…"Viggo started.

"Henry called me last night, I caught the first flight out that I could." Sean explained.

"But why? I mean I'm glad you're here but why did he call you?" Viggo asked curiously.

"Well, he said you were asking for me. Before the surgery. You were probably out of your skull from pain or drugs or both but the boy was worried and called me. So here I am." Sean said sitting down in the chair next to the bed.

"Fuck. I don't remember that, but I guess if Henry says that I asked for you then I guess I did." Viggo said shaking his head. "I don't remember what I ate for breakfast this morning either so there ya go. Man you look rough." Viggo said reaching out and patting Sean on the knee.

"Me? Well you aren't exactly rosy sunshine yourself, Vig. What the fuck hit you a tank?" Sean asked with a smirk.

"A fucking drunk driver in a pick up truck." Viggo explained.

"So broken leg and two black eyes…lets see what's with the sling?" Sean asked assessing his friends injuries.

"Dislocated shoulder." Viggo answered with a slight frown.

"And the surgery on your leg went well?" Sean asked looking down at the cast.

"Yeah…it broke in two places below the knee and they had to put a couple pins in. They put the cast all the way up to keep it immobile for a while. They said I can get out of here in a few days but that I will need help at home." Viggo explained. "Guess I will need to hire a nurse or something."

"A nurse?" Sean asked.

"Yeah, not exactly happy about that." Viggo said frowning. Sean knew how much Viggo liked his privacy and knew his friend wouldn't be too keen on having some stranger taking care of him.

"What about me?" Sean asked.

"I don't think you need a nurse." Viggo teased.

"Har, har I meant what about I take care of you?" Sean asked.

"Sean, that's ridiculous they said it might be a month or more before I am 100% again. I can't ask you to give up a month of your life to take care of me." Viggo protested.

"Nonsense! I have nothing better to do with my time right now, I'm between projects and quite bored if you must know. I had been thinking about coming out to visit you anyway…this way at least I have a good reason for mooching off you." Sean said with a smile.

"I am not sure you know what you are getting yourself into here. I am not exactly the best patient in the world, just ask the folks here." Viggo said shaking his head.

"I think I can tolerate you. Either that or I'll just lock you in your bedroom." Sean said with an evil grin.

A few days later Sean was at Viggo's house getting it ready for him to come home soon.

He had cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned some more. It wasn't filthy but it was cluttered, just like Viggo's mind. Sean thought. Viggo wouldn't be able to maneuver around the house in his wheel chair with all that clutter so Sean decided he had to clean and rearrange things.

He also moved all of his clothes into the guest bedroom just down the hall from Viggo's room. The only thing worrying Sean was going to be bath time. How the fuck was he going to help him with that? Well he knew the mechanics of it, but how was he going to do it without embarrassing them both?

Elijah and Dom showed up that afternoon and helped him move the furniture around so Viggo's wheelchair could fit around them without bumping anything.

"Sean, are you sure you can handle him all on your own? I mean maybe a nurse to help out sometimes might not be a bad idea." Elijah suggested as they sat in the kitchen drinking water after moving the couch that seemed to weigh a ton.

"Viggo isn't too keen on having some stranger taking care of him. He's pretty miserable at the hospital, and it's going to take every bit of cajoling from me and the doctor to get him to accept the therapist." Sean explained wiping his brow with the back of his sleeve.

"I guess I would be the same way." Dom piped up then, "But you know Sean, you are going to have to bathe him right?"

Sean choked on his water and Elijah laughed so hard he turned red in the face.

"Sorry…sorry that was just an image well uh…anyway." Elijah said clearing his throat.

Sean laughed too. "Yeah that one I have been sort of worrying myself over too."

"Why haven't you just told him how you feel?" Elijah asked.

"Elijah, if Viggo hasn't figured it out by now what with Sean giving up his life for a month to come take care of him, the man is never going to get it even if Sean throws himself into his lap and kisses him senseless I think." Dom said shaking his head.

Sean couldn't help but laugh even though it did hurt. "He is pretty dense."

"Oh Sean, I think he feels the same way you do. The two of you just need to talk it out. Really. I mean he did ask for you, right?" Elijah asked.

"Yeah…though he has no memory of it." Sean said getting up and setting his glass in the sink.

Sean had been wondering about that as well. Had Henry made that up? Viggo didn't recall asking for him but Henry said he did.

After Elijah and Dom left Sean set about cleaning the kitchen and then he glanced at the clock and decided it was time to get ready to head for the hospital to visit Viggo. He took a shower and then went and picked Henry up from his friends house where he had gone after school. He and Henry had been spending quite a bit of time together since he arrived. Xene was very busy with a project she was working on and Viggo was supposed to be taking care of Henry. The car accident didn't exactly play into their plans.

"Dad is going to be so surprised by all the flowers and cards everyone has sent. He has no clue how many people love him." Henry said in the car excitedly after Sean told him about all the deliveries that had been coming in both at the house and the hospital.

"Yeah, no clue at all." Sean said shaking his head and changing lanes to head toward the hospital. He wished that he could tell Viggo exactly how he loved him, course right now Viggo couldn't possibly kick his arse up over his ears but he couldn't risk his friendship. Not now, and not ever.

Viggo was happy to see them both when they walked in.

"God, I hate hospitals running your friends and family off until 'visiting hours'." Viggo complained giving Henry a one armed hug. The IV was gone and the black eyes were fading but he still looked pretty rough around the edges.

"I hope you don't mind, Vig but I did some rearranging at your house to get ready for you to come home tomorrow." Sean said sitting down in the chair next to the bed giving his friend's hand a quick squeeze.

"No don't mind at all. You're probably exhausted though…how long did it take?" Viggo asked with a knowing grin.

"Longer than I thought it would. Managed to get Elijah and Dom to come over and help though. Your couch weighs a fucking ton!" Sean teased.

"You moved the couch? You are a brave man." Viggo said with a laugh. "The lawyer called today said that the hearing would be in a few weeks."

"The jerk pleading not guilty?" Henry asked plopping down on the floor next to Sean.

"Of course." Viggo said trying to sit up a bit in the bed. He wasn't able to with only one arm and Sean jumped up quickly to help him. He even fluffed his pillow a bit.

"Thanks, Sean. You know you are good at this. I can't believe how much help you've been just while I've been in here. The nurses are nice and all but they don't think of things the way you do. I could have kissed you when you brushed my hair the other day for me. With IV's in one arm and a sling on the other I couldn't really do it myself…and it's not like I care how I look but my head actually hurt from not brushing my hair. I think the nurses don't realize when I played Aragorn that was a wig." Viggo said with a grin. He'd actually enjoyed the attention Sean paid to him, usually Viggo hated being taken care of but Sean didn't make a fuss just did what was needed.

"I know. They overlook little things like that really. It's not their fault. They have a whole floor of patients, I just have you." Sean said stepping back. He realized how that had sounded and looked out the window. He also realized a little too late that he blushed when Viggo said he could have kissed him.

Henry scrambled up from the floor and pulled something out of his backpack.

"Note from school, permission for a field trip. Need to have a parent sign it and Mom's in Sacramento." Henry explained handing the note to Viggo.

He read it and then Henry gave him a pen. "That seems to be all you do anymore is go on field trips, don't they actually teach you kids anything?"

"Nah, short attention spans you know." Henry said with a laugh.

Sean just tried to blend into the walls and let them have their father son moment. He looked around the room for a minute and then smiled. "Viggo you want anything? Neither of us have had dinner and I am sure you are tired of hospital food. Why don't I pop out and grab something? Sort of celebrate your last night in this place." Sean suggested remembering something his Dad had done for his Aunt when she was in the hospital after a car wreck. She was miserable and he brought her favorite meal to her, because she had complained about how horrible the food was. Made everyone on her floor jealous.

"That actually sounds wonderful, and I don't even care what you bring back…as long as it has some flavor and Jell-O is nowhere to be seen!" Viggo said with a laugh.

"I know just the thing…come on Sean!" Henry said heading toward the door.

"No, you stay here and keep your father company…I'll be back in a little while." Sean said slipping out. He already knew what he would bring back.

Viggo smiled at his son after Sean left.

"What are you up to, Henry?" Viggo asked suspiciously.

"What do you mean?" The boy asked innocently.

"Sean said you told him I asked for him before the surgery. I do not remember that. I know I was out of it, but I think I would remember that." Viggo said looking at his son intently. It was the first time he'd been alone with Henry since Sean had arrived.

"Sure you did." Henry said but looked everywhere but Viggo's eyes.

"You know better than to lie to me." Viggo warned sternly.

"Awww Dad, come on. You love Sean, you told me you did. Why wouldn't you want him here?" Henry asked.

"But Henry that love only goes one way. To Sean I am just his best friend." Viggo defended. He appreciated Henry was only trying to help but he felt awkward enough around Sean since he discovered his feelings went deeper than just friendship.

"You are wrong, Dad. Sean loves you…he flew here straight from London to see you. He has been cleaning the house for days. He even brushed your hair for you the other day, and honestly you both looked very happy together like that. Now he's gone out to buy you something other than hospital food just because he wants to and you are going to tell me that is just friendship? I may be young but I'm not stupid." Henry said plopping down in the chair Sean always sat in by Viggo's bed.

Viggo sighed. "Henry, adults are a bit more complicated than that. All of us are close. You think Sean wouldn't do this for Orli or Dom or any of us? He would in a heartbeat. He's just that kind of guy." Viggo explained.

"You're wrong, Dad." Henry said crossing his arms across his chest and frowning as he looked out the window. Xene always did that when she ended an argument, he knew Henry was done.

Viggo sighed again and shook his head. He wished Henry was right, with all his soul he wished he was right, but it had been years since he fell in love with Sean and never had he suspected Sean felt more for him than just close friendship.

When Sean finally returned with a huge pizza and three sodas Viggo grinned at him.

"How'd you guess?" Viggo asked.

"Was a pretty safe bet. Someone once told me everyone likes pizza." Sean answered with a grin. It was an old joke between them. Viggo had told him one night back in New Zealand when they were trying to decide what to have for dinner one of their poker nights. "Aww come on Sean, it's simple. Everyone likes pizza, yes we'll get a veggie only for Orli, come on."

The next morning Sean got ready to go to the hospital. Henry had stayed home from school and they went together to pick up Viggo. It seemed to take forever to get Viggo dressed. Trying to dress him around and over his leg and arm was tougher than Sean thought but he eventually figured out the best way. Then after all that work it seemed to take even longer to get him released and sneak him out. The press had gotten wind of his accident.

Getting Viggo into the car was an exercise in patience of religious proportions. The cast wasn't the easiest thing to work around, but they finally managed…although all three of them broke into fits of laughter twice in the process. At one point Sean just sat down on the pavement and laughed so hard he had tears spilling down his face and Henry was just as bad off propped up against him. Viggo suggested they strap him to the luggage rack and that brought on a new round of laughter before they were finally able to get him situated.

When they arrived at Viggo's, Sean and Henry helped him into his wheelchair and took him up to the house. This time it went a bit more smoothly. Sean had installed a temporary ramp up the steps which Viggo smiled at.

"You certainly thought of everything." Viggo said shaking his head.

Sean just smiled at him and unlocked the door. Henry slipped through first and then Sean followed pushing Viggo.

Sean and Henry set about getting Viggo settled back into his own home and then Sean went to make dinner. While it was in the oven and Henry had gone to his room to take a phone call, Sean returned to the living room with Viggo.

"Uh Sean…I uh I need to use the rest room." Viggo said softly feel quite uncomfortable about the whole idea of needing to ask for help.

"Oh hell why didn't you say so?" Sean asked feeling like a fool for not asking about something like that. It's not like Viggo can just hop up and go on his own. If he's here to help he needs to think of these things.

"Well it's a little embarrassing having to ask for help, but I think I'm going to be more embarrassed if I piss on myself." Viggo said shaking his head.

Sean laughed. "Right. Well let's get that taken care of. The doctor said you can use the crutches just a little bit if you need to…think you can? I will help you of course."

"Yeah, not going to be easy with this shoulder though." Viggo complained.

"Let's just try it this way." Sean said pulling Viggo up from the wheelchair and steadying him against his side. "Ok…let's go slow." He wrapped his arm around Viggo's waist and Viggo put his good arm around Sean's and they hobbled to the bathroom together.

They finally managed to make it back from the bathroom with a minimum of laughter.

"Christ, I never thought taking a piss was going to include a spotter." Viggo said sliding onto the bed with Sean's help.

Sean laughed. "It could have been worse, you could have two broken legs."

The next several days passed slowly. Viggo's arm was doing a bit better and Sean had set his easel low enough so Viggo could paint. Viggo was doing just that when the phone rang. He looked across the room at the phone sitting on the bookcase.

"Great." He muttered. "Sean!" He called out but didn't get a response. "Just let the damn thing ring then." Viggo said returning to his painting.

A few minutes later Sean walked in. "Were you calling me?"

Viggo looked up and felt his mouth go dry. Sean had been out in his back yard apparently doing some gardening. He had cut off jeans on and no shirt and dirt up to his elbows. Sweat was glistening on his shoulders and chest and Viggo decided he definitely liked the grubby gardener look.

"Where have you been?" Viggo asked knowing exactly the answer but his brain was so befuddled it was the only question he could manage.

"Weeding that sorry excuse of a flower bed you have back there. Don't you ever tend the thing?" Sean said pointing over his shoulder. "Anyway, were you calling me?"

"Yeah…phone rang. I let the machine get it though." Viggo explained.

"Oh…I'll go check the message. Damn, sorry I should have left the phone next to you." Sean answered.

"That's ok, don't feel much like talking anyway." Viggo said turning back to his painting and trying to will the image of Sean's golden body covered in sweat from his mind.

Sean flashed a quick grin at him as he went to the kitchen. He washed up and grabbed his shirt and threw it on as he checked the answering machine. It was Viggo's doctor's office confirming their appointment for the next day.

"Wasn't a big deal…your doctor called to confirm tomorrows check up." Sean said walking back in with a glass of water for himself and one for Viggo.

"Thanks." Viggo said taking he glass. "Yeah maybe they will take part of this cast off…she said if it was healing well they might get me down to a brace and a lower leg cast so I can at least bend my knee. Would make things so much easier, plus I can get out of this thing." Viggo said indicating the wheelchair.

"Yeah and maybe I should tell her what a naughty boy you've been." Sean answered.

"Oh God. Please don't." Viggo laughed.

"Viggo I thought for sure I was going to have to haul your arse back to the hospital with that stunt you pulled the other day." Sean said shaking his head but barely able to suppress a grin.

"Well it itches like hell."

"I know it does, but I don't fancy fishing another paint brush out of your cast." Sean said shaking his head. "How you meant to reach your knee with it is beyond me."

"I underestimated I guess…I was desperate." Viggo defended. He'd really not realized it would turn into such an ordeal. Although he hadn't planned on getting caught either.

"Well you know if you keep that up they will put you in a fiberglass cast…those are heavy as hell and you can't get anything inside them. Broke my arm once…got a ruler stuck in mine." Sean admitted.

"A ruler?" Viggo asked laughing.

"I was fourteen at the time." Sean said grinning at the memory and the look on Viggo's face.

"I would have like to have seen that." Viggo mused.

"Yeah we would have been holy terrors together as teenagers I would think." Sean said sitting on the little desk across from where Viggo was painting.

They grew silent after a while and Sean thought about the chores he needed to do the rest of the day. He still needed to wash the dishes, wash a load of towels, and Viggo needed a bath. Both of them were embarrassed and awkward about that at first, but they had fallen into a routine with that, still didn't make it any easier.

"What are you thinking about." Viggo said cleaning his paint brush.

"What still needs to be done. Need to do the dishes and a load of towels and I need to take a shower, and help you take a bath." Sean said.

Viggo cringed a bit. Sean was working his ass off taking care of him.

"Sean, why don't you let me do the dishes or at least help?" Viggo asked turning his wheelchair a bit to face him better. He wasn't sure how he could do the dishes unless Sean propped him up some way but he'd manage it if he'd let him.

"No, but I tell you what. You can help with folding the towels." Sean said getting up and heading for the bathroom to gather up the towels. May as well do them now while he was thinking about it.

Viggo sighed when Sean left the room. Well folding towels was at least something. Then Viggo thought about the other. The bath. He both loved and hated those. He loved having Sean that close to him, touching him, he really was a very patient man and quite good at this taking care of people thing. The only problem was Viggo had to nearly bite through his tongue to keep from reacting to his touch. It was killing him having Sean so close yet so far away at the same time.

Viggo wheeled himself into the kitchen to wait for Sean. He soon returned with a basket of dirty towels and stepped into the laundry room then a few minutes later he went to the sink.

"Talk to me while I wash?" Sean asked over his shoulder.

"Sure." Viggo replied watching Sean filling the sink with water. He never used the dishwasher.

"You know whenever someone says 'loading the dishwasher' I am going to imagine getting you drunk." Viggo said suddenly making Sean nearly drop a glass he laughed so hard.

"I'm not quite sure how to take that." Sean said shaking his head.

"I was just wondering why you never use the dishwasher?" Viggo asked curiously.

"There aren't many dishes and a dishwasher uses the same amount of water and electricity for a very small load as it does for a large one. So it's wasteful." Sean explained.

Viggo nodded. He'd almost forgotten that Sean had quite an environmentalist streak…everyone called him a tree hugger but Sean was as bad as he was if not worse. He just wasn't as vocal about it as Viggo had been.

"Good reason." Viggo admitted.

The next day Sean drove Viggo to the doctor's office. The doctor said Viggo's leg was healing well, and removed part of the cast as promised. When Viggo hobbled out on crutches Sean was practically beaming.

"Took off part of the cast eh?" He asked crossing to Viggo, but stopping a few feet away.

"Yep!" Viggo answered grinning from ear to ear and then grimaced in pain as he tried to take another step. The pain was mostly from the leg being immobile for so long, or so the doctor had said. Sean frowned but stayed waiting for Viggo to make it to him. He had to let him do this himself even though his every instinct wanted to protect Viggo from any more pain.

"Well come on Hop Along lets get you down to the car." Sean smiled helping him navigate the waiting room and sticking close in case Viggo needed help.

"So how much longer?" Sean asked as he drove.

"Not too much, doctor said the lower cast will come off next week and then I will just have to wear a brace for a while. She said the first few days it would hurt like hell since it's been immobilized for so long, and it does but I'm so glad to have that cast off." Viggo answered. She was right about it hurting like hell, but at least he was getting better. He could endure a little more pain.

"We'll work through it." Sean answered putting his hand over Viggo's for a moment, and caressing his hand with his thumb. When he realized what he was doing he abruptly pulled away. Sean scolded himself mentally for doing it but it was too late now. Viggo just smiled at him with a strange look on his face.

When they arrived back at the house Sean allowed Viggo to do most of the work himself.

"Look at you, you hardly even need me now." Sean said coming up behind Viggo which made him nearly stumble and Sean put a steadying hand on his arm.

"Guess I spoke too soon." Sean frowned.

"Yeah…guess so." Viggo conceded but it wasn't for the reason Sean assumed. His saying that he hardly needed Sean made his heart nearly stop in his chest. He'd gotten so accustomed to Sean being there. His getting well, though he wanted his independence back, meant Sean would be leaving.

God, I am going to miss him when he finally decides I don't need him anymore. Viggo thought to himself. If he asks me I will never be able to say I don't need him. Because I do. I do need him. I need him near me always.

When Viggo finally made it into the house and sat down tears were streaming down his face from the pain and perhaps just a little from the thoughts of Sean leaving. Just that short walk from the car to the couch felt like his leg was being gnawed off at the knee by mountain lions and his heart felt like it was being constricted in his chest at just the thought of Sean leaving him.

"Vig, do you want a pain pill?" Sean asked concerned.

"No." Viggo answered swiping his hand across his eyes and trying to will the pain away. It wasn't working all that well.

"I think you are doing too much too soon, Vig. Please take a pain pill it's killing me seeing you like this." Sean begged brushing some of Viggo's hair back from his face tenderly. Screw worrying about touching him too intimately, Sean couldn't bear to see him like this.

"Don't want them. Rather feel the pain than how they make me feel. I just…I just need to take it slow…the pain will go away once my body adjusts." Viggo answered from behind clenched teeth.

"Alright, not going to force you." Sean answered. "The physical therapist will be here tomorrow, so you might want to just take it easy the rest of the day."

"Yeah…I plan to." Viggo whispered. Sean started to pull away but Viggo grabbed his arm.

"Can you just stay here…next to me? Just for a few minutes?" Viggo asked softly.

Sean looked at him for a moment and nodded. "Sure, Vig. I'm here for you. Here…take my hand." Sean said offering his hand. Viggo clasped Sean's hand in his own and held on tight trying to use the connection with the other man to somehow force the pain away. It actually helped a bit.

"Helping any?" Sean asked.

"Some." Viggo answered taking a deep breath.

"Good. I'm not going anywhere." Sean answered then leaned over and gave him a friendly peck on the side of his head just above his ear.

Viggo squeezed his friend's hand tighter but didn't say anything. Just having Sean close was enough…would be enough.

The next day the therapist came to start working with Viggo.

"Sean, you come here and sit next to me." Megan said pointing to the floor next to her.

"What're you doing?" Viggo asked curiously.

"Since Sean is your primary care giver. I am going to teach him how to do a few exercises with you, and then later teach him how to massage your leg the right way. That way on the weekends when I can't be here, you can still get your therapy in." The young woman explained.

Viggo felt like bolting from the room, that is if he could bolt anywhere. He would love to have Sean touching him and that was the fucking problem. Last night as they had sat on the couch together simply holding hands he'd wanted so much more.

He silently hoped it would hurt so bad he wouldn't embarrass himself, like the night before. He was in so much pain having Sean close was soothing rather than arousing as it normally would have been. This morning when Sean was helping him get dressed he'd had the overwhelming urge to kiss the other man and barely managed to refrain from it. .

Sean looked stricken, "Are you sure about this?" he asked Megan. Looking at her intently then looking at Viggo.

"Of course." Megan answered unfazed by Sean's obvious worry which she assumed was because Sean was afraid to hurt Viggo. His real reason was that he wasn't sure how he could manage it. Bathing Viggo had been painful enough each night until he was able to start doing it himself. Sean would have to wank in the shower or he'd not get to sleep each night after that. Last night just sitting next to him holding hands all evening had been so arousing he hadn't slept for hours after.

After a few exercises that left Viggo cursing both Megan and Sean's parents for ever having children they left him alone for a few minutes to catch his breath.

"Fuck. You are demented, both of you." He snapped.

"You are really doing quite well, Mr. Mortensen." Megan answered sitting back on her heels grinning at the man. "Now is the really enjoyable part of it all."

She shifted to a position beside him and started kneading Viggo's thigh muscles. He grimaced in pain at first then it started to ease. She stopped when he sucked in a breath.

"Did that hurt?" She asked concerned.

"Not really…felt good and hurt at the same time." Viggo answered.

"Good that's how it's supposed to feel at first, as the muscle regains it's tension it will only feel good." She answered. "Now Sean come right here…yes next to me. Now put your hands here, don't apply too much pressure, there you go." She instructed guiding Sean's hands over Viggo's thigh. Meanwhile Viggo had to focus on reciting the alphabet backwards in his mind to keep from getting aroused at Sean touching him the way he was, where he was. His long fingers stroking and kneading his thigh was almost too much for Viggo so he closed his eyes and continued to try and distract himself.

Sean's hands were shaking and he was biting his lip trying not to get aroused, much like he did when he'd helped bathe Viggo all those times. This was absolute bloody fucking torture.

"Good. Now let's leave him alone for a bit." Megan said then and started rolling up her little mat.

The phone rang and Sean was so thankful he practically ran to the kitchen to answer it.

"You know Viggo the two of you can have oral sex." Megan said stuffing the mat into her bag.

What the fuck? "W…What?" Viggo sputtered as he tried to sit up.

"Oh let me help you up, that shoulder is still a bit weak." She said pulling him up by his good arm to lean against the couch.

"Excuse me?" He asked wondering what the fuck brought on that line of conversation.

"Well I was saying that…well it seems obvious that you two are very much in love and probably since this accident happened you two probably have not been able to be intimate. Sean's obviously afraid to even touch you, so I was saying that there are other things you can do in that way. You know." She explained surprisingly straight faced.

Viggo however laughed out loud. "You've got to be kidding me?" He asked incredulously.

"Oh…oh I am so sorry. I just thought. Oh God, I um I really put my foot in my mouth here didn't I? I just thought the two of you…were you know…a couple." Megan explained blushing beet red.

"No, we are just friends." Viggo answered a little bit wistfully and cringed.

"But you wish it was more than friends?" She asked in a very understanding tone.

"God, am I that transparent?" Viggo asked shaking his head.

"If it's any consolation I think he feels the same way." She said crossing to the door.

"You are kidding right? Sean's like the straightest man I know." Viggo answered laughing.

"Then you need your head examined next time you go to the doctors office. That man is obviously head over heels for you. I have lots of very close friends, Mr. Mortensen. Friends I have had since childhood and they wouldn't put their life on hold just to take care of me for an entire month or more. Just an observation." Megan said turning the door knob. "Just give it some thought."

Sean walked back into the room. "You're leaving?"

"Afraid so, have several more patients to see. See you both tomorrow!" She called slipping out the door.

"Sweet girl." Sean said softly and then set to helping Viggo up off the floor and onto the couch.

"Yeah, sweet girl." He replied still reeling from what she had said.

Later that day Viggo looked over at Sean who was reading a book.

"Sean?"

"Yeah."

"Um why is it that you flew here the day Henry called and basically put your life on hold to come take care of me? I mean I could have just hired a nurse. Why did you want to take care of me yourself?"

Sean sat for a few minutes looking slightly uncomfortable, and then shook his head. "I am your friend. I wanted to be here for you, take care of you. Isn't that what friends do?" He hoped that answer would be enough.

"Sean, friends send you a get well card, or flowers, or they might come by and spend a few days but you've put your entire life on hold for the last month. You haven't seen your girls in all that time. You haven't worked, you have just taken care of me. Why is that? Why do that for me?" Viggo asked.

Sean studied Viggo for a moment and then closed his book setting it on the table beside his chair.

"Viggo, I don't think this is a good idea." Sean answered unsure what else to do or say.

"Why? What is it?" Viggo pressed praying Megan was right or he was seriously considering throwing pacifism out the window and club her to death with his crutches tomorrow.

"Because I'd like to imagine if it was me you'd do the same thing." Sean snapped.

"That's a cop out…give me a real answer. An answer I can believe." Viggo retorted.

Sean sat there looking at Viggo for a few minutes and shook his head then looked down. "Viggo, you don't want to hear the truth."

"Try me, you might be surprised."

Sean sighed heavily and looked down at the floor before his eyes came back up to meet Viggo's.

"You want the truth? Fine. I've been in love with you for years. Now where is Megan's number so I can call her to arrange for someone to come stay with you? I'll be leaving in the morning." Sean answered standing up swiftly. He knew he couldn't stay after admitting that, he'd go to a hotel and then fly straight back to London.

"Wait…Sean, fucking hell wait!" Viggo called as the other man started to walk out of the room.

"What? Wait so you can tell me how disgusted you are? I don't think so." Sean answered defensively. He wasn't going to stand there and be told I love you but not that way or whatever else Viggo might say. He might not be mean about it but whatever he said it wouldn't be what Sean wanted to hear.

"Sean, for God's sake wait a fucking minute! You haven't heard my answer yet." Viggo implored reaching for his crutches intending to get up and hobble after him if he had to. All the way to the fucking airport and to London if he had to.

"So what's your answer then?" Sean asked looking directly at Viggo his gaze filled with pain, anger, and love.

"My answer is I don't want you to call Megan. I don't want you to leave, ever. I want you to stay. I thought what I felt for you was a one way street. I never thought you could feel the same way, until Megan mentioned it to me today. A perfect stranger, and she could see it, so I had to take a chance. I love you, Sean and have since the day we met I think." Viggo explained quickly knowing he had to get the words out before Sean could walk away.

Sean stood in shock for a few minutes and then slowly he began to grin and then laugh.

"You mean…we've both been dancing around each other since New Zealand? Bloody hell!" Sean said then got an odd look on his face. "Megan? What did she say?"

Viggo laughed feeling his chest lighten as if a rope had been cut that had been binding him.

"She assumed we were a couple. When I said we weren't she said that she thought that I wanted more and I agreed and said that you wouldn't. I said you were the straightest man I knew and she laughed and said I needed my head examined. Said that no one puts their life on hold an entire month for a good friend. So I decided to press the issue tonight. If it hadn't been for her, I would have never asked." Viggo explained.

Sean stood staring at him for a few moments.

"So what now?" Sean asked feeling awkward. He was so accustomed to hiding how he felt he wasn't sure how to react now.

"I don't know…I guess we just take it one day at a time?" Viggo offered feeling relived but still uncertain.

"What made her think we were a couple?" Sean asked suddenly curious about whatever he and the girl had talked about.

"I don't know exactly, she just blurted out that we could have oral sex if we were worried about my injury." Viggo said laughing.

Sean blinked several times and his mouth dropped open then he began to chuckle. "She said that??? I would have loved to have seen your face."

"It was pretty much like yours was just now I'd bet. Complete shock." Viggo joined in laughing.

After a few minutes their laughter subsided and Sean shook his head. "Well…I feel like we shouldn't let Megan down now. Perhaps she intended it as some sort of therapy for you." Sean said grinning wickedly with an odd gleam in his eye that Viggo had seen before but never recognized before now. Desire.

"Um yeah I guess…maybe relieve tension?" Viggo offered trying not to grin. Sean just started to move toward Viggo on the couch when they heard footfalls on the doorstep and the door flew open. Henry bounded in to the room completely oblivious to what was about to transpire.

"Hi Sean! Hi Dad! Sorry I'm late, had to run by the library and return a book." Henry said tossing his backpack onto a nearby chair and heading for the kitchen without really looking at either man. After school snack time was at hand.

"This will have to wait a bit longer." Viggo murmured to him.

"We've waited this long." Sean nodded in agreement then headed to the kitchen just as he heard Henry call out, "Hey Sean…where'd you put the peanut butter?"

Viggo watched Sean move into the kitchen to help his son. He shook his head and sighed. Such idiots…both of them. Henry had known all along, something I refused to see he could see plain as day. Megan had known and she'd only just met them today. He wondered who else in their circle of friends knew and never said anything.

Then he thought about Sean, he would have to eventually go home. He couldn't stay in Los Angeles forever, he had a life, a home, and his own children in England to worry about. How would they make this work? Their friendship has lasted, so this could last right? They would just have to work out a way to see each other more often. Henry would be going off to college in another few years…perhaps living in England part time wouldn't be a big deal? He could do his art from anywhere, and the acting…well he wavered on it anyway and he could live anywhere to do that too. The ranch though…he had to consider that. He'd still want to spend time there part of the year. Sean and he would work something out. Now that he knew Sean felt the same way he did, he wasn't about to let a few thousand miles get in the way, they would figure something out.

A little while later Sean came out of the kitchen with Henry. "Got homework to do…I'll be in my room." He said heading off down the hall carrying a glass of milk, a peanut butter sandwich and grabbing his backpack. Viggo frowned he didn't like Henry to eat in his bedroom but Sean just smiled.

"I told him he could eat in his room before you even consider saying anything." Sean said sitting down across from him.

"Circumventing my rules are you?"

"Yeah…told him we needed to talk about something important and he got this odd look on his face, grinned and hugged me as if I'd just told him he'd won the lottery and rushed off to his room." Sean answered. "Does he know?"

"Yeah…well he knows how I felt anyway." Viggo answered.

"So, you didn't ask for me at the hospital did you?" Sean asked the pieces falling into place.

"I truly don't remember, but I don't think so. He wouldn't admit to it but I think he lied about that. I think he called you because… he was testing a theory to be honest the little sneak." He couldn't help but grin.

"Little sneak, eh? Well he's a lot like my Lorna then because she figured it out too. She's known how I felt about you for a long time now…and gives me hell every time we spend time together and always asks…Well? And I have to just shrug and say Viggo's not like that. He's just my friend. She is going to drive me nuts now telling me I told you so!" Sean laughed.

"How is it our children are wiser than we are?" Viggo asked.

"I dunno…skips a generation?" Sean asked laughing.

Three weeks later Viggo's cast had been completely removed and he was for the most part back to normal. Henry had gotten out of school for summer and had just left to visit his grandparents. Viggo was driving himself and Sean back from the airport where they had just dropped off Henry.

"When do you have to get back again?" Viggo asked. Knowing full well the answer. They had discussed this numerous times.

"Viggo, for the hundredth time, next Tuesday I have a meeting with my agent in London. I plan on leaving on Sunday evening." Sean answered.

"So we have exactly six days alone together?" Viggo asked grinning. He was so looking forward to those six days…then he was also looking forward to the time he had planned in London in two weeks. Also the Christmas trip to Idaho they had also planned. They had managed to work out a schedule to spend as much time together as possible and still carry on their lives and careers as usual.

"Yes…six days. How do you propose we spend them?" Sean asked grinning back.

"Hmmm now that my leg is mended, we could go up to the ranch, go horseback riding…hiking maybe?" Viggo teased.

"Nah…something more relaxing that sounds like work." Sean answered leaning his head back on the headrest. He'd been working for the past month taking care of Viggo, though he would do it all over again in a heart beat if needed.

"Well then we could spend the next six days just puttering around the house…we'll have it all to ourselves." Viggo answered.

"Hmm….got a better suggestion."

"What's that?" Viggo asked turning into his driveway and shutting off the engine.

"Let's spend it in bed." Sean suggested.

Viggo smiled unbuckling his seatbelt. "Six days in bed? I like the way your mind works."

"I thought you loved the way my mind works?" Sean mused grinning.

"I do…love your mind." Viggo answered leaning over and kissing Sean's forehead. "Love your body." Viggo whispered kissing his cheek, and then ghosting his lips over Sean's. "Love your soul." Then he leaned forward and pressed his lips against Sean's praying that he will never become too accustomed to how Sean's lips feel against his own.

They hadn't had a chance to really be with each other yet, between the therapy sessions, doctors appointments, visits from a few friends, and Henry being home from school for summer they'd only gotten to what Viggo considered was maybe second base…with a runner heading for third.

"Mmmm, care to show me?" Sean eventually asked pulling back from the kiss and unbuckling his seatbelt. He'd actually been giddy waiting for today to come. He loved Henry but he couldn't wait to see the boy off today.

By the time the two reached the bedroom they were both stripped to the waist and struggling to remove their shoes.

"Good Lord…you'd think we were in a race." Sean laughed kicking his left shoe off.

"We have six days and yet it's not going to be nearly enough." Viggo answered pulling him close and kissing him deeply. He could feel Sean's erection pressing against his own and thrust his hips forward a bit drawing a low growl from Sean.

"Not nearly enough time, a lifetime isn't enough time." Sean agreed trailing kisses down the side of Viggo's neck nipping, biting, kissing, and claiming his way down his neck to his collar bone. Sean's hand slid down and pressed against Viggo's denim clad erection, as he sucked at the juncture of his neck and shoulder.

"Oh God…Sean." Viggo whispered dreamily.

Finally they managed to strip each other of the rest of their clothes and were skin to skin on the bed. Hot flesh sliding against hot flesh, each man lost in the feel of the other.

Sean slid down Viggo's body planting kisses along his chest, sucking on first one taut nipple then the other until they were both firm buds, and the man under him was writhing. Then he moved lower, his lips and tongue traveling down, circling his lovers navel then moving still lower. He began gently kissing and nipping at the skin of Viggo's upper thigh and running his short nails down the inside of that same thigh. Teasing until the darker man was writhing again. Then Sean settled between his lovers legs, pressing his own sweat slicked skin against Viggo who arched in response.

"Sean…please." Viggo whispered, he was already impatient and this was sheer torture. He'd wanted this for so long, so very long. They could take their time later…he wanted Sean and he wanted him now!

"Please, Sean. Don't tease me, we've waited so long." Viggo begged. He wasn't beyond begging, not at all.

Sean smiled down at him and kissed his nose. "Right." Sean answered leaning over and grabbing the little bag from the drug store he'd picked up the other day and put in the night stand.

Sean sat back on his heels between Viggo's legs and slicked up his fingers then tentatively moved forward. He then lowered over Viggo and kissed him tenderly as one slick finger slowly slid inside the other man. Viggo gasped into the kiss and moaned. Sean went slowly pressing into the hot tight passage until he brushed against the other man's prostate causing him to buck under him.

Viggo cried out into Sean's mouth as he felt a second finger penetrate him. Sean continued to move inside him with slow deliberate strokes and then slid in a third finger and brushed his prostate again causing Viggo to tense and writhe under him.

"Sean!" He cried out breaking away from the long drugging kiss.

Sean withdrew his fingers eliciting a low whimper from Viggo that made him grin. He wasn't about to rush this, not now.

Viggo sighed softly when he finally felt the slick warm tip of Sean's erection pressing forward. He opened his eyes and looked directly into Sean's green eyes reflecting warmth, and love, and desire back to him. Sean pushed forward slowly reveling in the tight heat, he had to pause because if he moved even slightly he might come undone already and he barely had the head in.

Viggo moaned softly and tried to will Sean on. Finally Sean rocked his hips forward a little more. It took all of his self-control not to just slam his entire length into Viggo's stunningly tight body but he wanted their first time to last. He had dreamed of this, watching Viggo as he breached his body, seeing him writhing and moaning under his touch. He'd wanted this for so long and he wanted to imprint it all on his memory.

"You are so beautiful." Sean whispered softly just as he completed the slow slide into Viggo's body. He paused for only a moment then and began to pull his hips back. Viggo moaned as Sean pushed in again and his lover thrust his hips back to meet him. He still forced himself to take it slow, if he sped up at all it would be all over. Gradually he moved into a leisurely rhythm thrusting slow and deep, and then he shifted the angle and Viggo moaned loudly and wrapped his legs around Sean trying to pull him even deeper if that were at all possible. It was as if he were trying to meld their bodies together. That leg was definitely all healed up. Sean thought briefly as he felt it tighten around him.

"Sean please…please." Viggo begged his head tossing from side to side.

Sean finally began to thrust faster, and harder, causing both men to groan in unison at the exquisite sensation.

"Yes…oh yes, please." Viggo shouted and reached above his head to hold onto the headboard that was doing quite a dance against the wall.

Sean continued rocking into his lovers body, and whispered, "Open your eyes, Viggo…wanna see you."

Viggo quickly obeyed and Sean was enthralled by the emotions he saw in their blue depths darkened with lust, and passion, and love. They were sparkling like sapphires in moonlight.

Then Sean reached down and took Viggo's hard shaft in hand and began pumping him in time with his thrusts. When his hand wrapped around the other mans over sensitized skin Viggo hissed in pleasure and thrust his hips up again crying out Sean's name over and over.

Sean began pistoning his hips forward almost violently as Viggo panted incoherent words, then he felt Viggo's muscles clamp down around him and he exploded hot and sticky on his stomach and over Sean's hand. Sean continued driving into his lover with powerful strokes, and then his own muscles tensed as he was spilling with one final deep push that drew a low moan from both men.

Sean collapsed on top of Viggo but he made no attempt to move way. Sean just cuddled closer burying his face against Viggo's neck delighting in the warm, contented and sleepy feeling that slowly spread throughout his body. They rested this way, their bodies still joined, trying to catch their breath for several minutes. Viggo's hands were shakily sliding through sweat damp blonde hair when Sean finally rolled to his side.

"I think that was a good start." Sean huffed a few minutes later from beside Viggo, which elicited a low chuckle from him.

"Yeah…definitely a good start." Viggo answered running his hand along Sean's chest feeling his heart still beating erratically. "A little messy though…wanna help me take a bath?"

Sean laughed. "You cannot imagine the thoughts that ran through my head these last several weeks."

"Oh but I can." Viggo answered grinning.

"Hmm…maybe you should bathe me this time?" Sean teased leaning on his elbow gazing into blue eyes suddenly sparkling with humor.

"Now that sounds like a very good plan." Viggo answered kissing Sean on the tip of his nose.

The End.
